Weather station
Ecowitt WS80
The station currently reporting is an Ecowitt WH80. It is a very compact station using ultrasonic wind sensing with variable reporting frequencies.
It sends almost real time data to Ecowitt.net, an exclusive. Quickly view detailed information with our animated modules and graphing. It also sends near real-time data to Weather Underground.
The station monitors indoor and outdoor conditions, including wind speed, wind direction, rainfall, UV, solar radiation, barometric pressure, indoor temperature, indoor humidity, dew point, heat index, wind chill and more.
Ecowitt.net Includes dials, gauges, graphs and text reports for every parameter.
I use the GW1000 Weather Gateway module that receives data from the sensor array and provides an indoor sensor, and connects to your router. The Gateway is configured through an application on your phone. Your computer does not have to be left on to connect and report data to the Internet.
It transmits 915MHz from the outdoor sensor array to the GW1000 Gateway that includes the indoor sensors. This provides near real-time internet monitoring. Outdoor sensor array reports to the Gateway every 4.75 seconds.
The GW1000 Gateway's indoor sensor measures barometric pressure, indoor temperature and indoor humidity.
The 6 in 1 array features a pagoda thermo-hygrometer radiation shield with passive aspiration for the utmost accuracy and a solar panel.
The GW1000 sends data to a Raspberry Pi 4B (1GB Ram) flashed with Meteobridge software available at www.meteobridge.com/wiki/index.php/Home allowing me to store all data locally as well as in the MySQL server.
